Zola Smith brings over 19 years of progressive experience in accounting, fund operations, and treasury management, with a deep focus on private equity and real estate fund structures. As a Senior Associate at ONE10, she is responsible for preparing and reviewing complex financial reports, coordinating audits, and providing insightful investor reporting and capital activity analysis. Zola is known for her analytical precision, leadership, and commitment to financial accuracy.

Before joining ONE10, Zola held senior-level roles at Rocktop Technologies, where she provided financial reporting and performance analysis for multimillion-dollar portfolios, prepared CFO-level insights, and oversaw the calculation of success and advisory fees. She also led the preparation of cash flow forecasts, portfolio analytics, and departmental budgets.

Zola spent over a decade at State Street, where she served as a Senior Associate and leader across multiple fund administration teams. She was instrumental in overseeing fund accounting operations for major insurance clients with billions in assets under management. Her responsibilities included managing audit processes, corporate actions, pricing, and trade operations, as well as mentoring junior staff and coordinating with global offshore teams. Zola was also a core part of the audit committee for high-profile databases such as PRIAC and SIRG, ensuring timely reconciliation, reporting accuracy, and risk control.

Her earlier experience includes treasury and financial accounting roles at DST Systems, where she managed corporate cash flow, banking relationships, and internal controls, and at Metropolitan Community College, where she handled accounts payable and receivable functions.

Zola is proficient in Bloomberg, SAP, Workday, and Microsoft Excel, and brings hands-on experience with a variety of asset types including equities, derivatives, hedge funds, corporate actions, and bank loans. She is passionate about optimizing fund operations, enhancing process efficiency, and delivering results that drive strategic decision-making.

She holds a B.S. in Accounting from National American University and an A.A. in Accounting from Metropolitan Community College.
