Esther Kim is a private equity accounting professional with over a decade of experience at The Carlyle Group, where she managed approximately $13 billion in assets under management across real estate and buyout strategies. She specializes in fund accounting and financial reporting, with extensive experience in capital calls and distributions, financial statement preparation, investor reporting, carried interest calculations, and the coordination of audits and tax deliverables within complex institutional environments. 

Throughout her career, Esther has led quarterly and annual close processes and prepared institutional-quality investor reporting across complex multi-entity and multi-currency fund structures. She is recognized for her analytical approach, attention to detail, and ability to improve processes and strengthen operational controls that enhance reporting accuracy, scalability, and consistency across the finance function.

Outside of work, Esther enjoys outdoor family outings and creating lasting memories with her husband, children, and two dogs.
